Explore Young Readers Books

This category of books and learning materials is geared toward young readers between the ages of 8 and 18, and for younger school aged children with the help of an older sibling, adult, guardian or teacher. For college students, there are relatively much wider selections of scholarship and literature about the topics, places, and peoples of the African world. But for the K-12–or primary to secondary school–there exists comparatively little books written for young readers, based on the latest research by some of the best scholars, and made accessible to such readers in digestible, narrative form. We aim to do just that through stories and activity/workbooks that can be used in together, independently, or with existing school curricula.
