WAYS TO SUPPORT US
Diasporic Africa Press (DAP) stands at the forefront of scholarly production in the worldwide African diaspora. From sponsoring an individual title to making a major gift or bequest, underwriting a specialized subject area, or financing a strategic initiative at DAP, there are many ways for you to help maintain our leadership role in African world scholarship by giving to DAP.
Thanks to the generosity and foresight of public and private donors, Diasporic Africa Press has been able to undertake projects that otherwise would have been impossible. These include important books translated from African and Eurasian languages into English, thereby contributing to dialogue, relations, and knowledge dissemination within and about the African world. Our future plans include bi-lingual and tri-lingual editions of our titles.
There are several ways to support DAP. A unique way to help DAP is by becoming a book sponsor and underwriting the production of a title. A book sponsor, with her or his permission, enjoys the publication recognition of supporting a book by being acknowledged in the front matter and in other appropriate materials and activities. The donor also enjoys the private satisfaction of making an essential contribution to a volume that will endure and add to the sum of human knowledge. Book sponsor commitments are usually in the $1,000 range for individuals and in the $5,000 to $10,000 range for companies and families.
By supporting one or several books or a book series, you will enable us to build upon our present strengths and expand our coverage in important areas of African world scholarship. It allows you to support multiple books within broad areas and to target the use of your donation. These donations are especially valuable to DAP. Each donation will make an enormous and lasting difference. Please consider supporting our efforts at the following levels:
